Who we are
ZedVault is run by ChillTech Innovations, a company in Lusaka, Zambia ("we", "us"). We decide how the personal information on this site is used, and we follow the Data Protection Act No. 3 of 2021 of Zambia. Write to us at support@chilltechinnovations.com about anything in this policy.
This policy covers this early access site only: the shopper waitlist and the seller letter of intent. The ZedVault shop will have its own privacy policy when it opens.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist:
- Your email address.
- If you choose to add them: your first name, WhatsApp number, area and what you'd like to shop for.
- Your share code, and the code of the person who invited you, if any.
- When you agreed and which version of these documents you agreed to.
- How you found us: campaign tags in the link and the website that sent you.
- A scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address, used only to stop fake signups. We cannot turn it back into the address.
When you sign the seller letter of intent:
- Your business name, your full name, WhatsApp number, email address if you give it, and the area your business is in.
- What you sell, where you sell today, roughly how many products and orders you have, how you would hand orders over, and a link to your page if you give one.
- Your typed signature, the date and time, your internet address and the browser you used. Together these are the record that you signed.
- Whether you agreed to us showing your business name, and whether you want selling tips and news.
Why we use it
- To tell you when ZedVault opens and give you early access, because you asked us to (your consent).
- To contact sellers about launch and their seller application, because you asked us to by signing the letter.
- To work out invite order from share codes, and to stop fake or automated signups (our legitimate interest in running a fair list).
- To understand which ways of finding us work, using totals rather than individual profiles.
We never sell your information and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Who sees it
- The small ZedVault team that runs the launch, behind a password.
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts this site and stores the records. Netlify's servers may be outside Zambia; we rely on its security and data processing terms.
- If we send you an email, our email provider (Resend) handles the message.
- If you tick the box when signing, visitors to this site can see your business name in our list of Founding Sellers. Nothing else about you is shown.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist details: until twelve months after ZedVault opens, or sooner if you ask us to remove you or unsubscribe.
- Seller letters: while we talk about your shop and for as long as you sell on ZedVault, then as long as the law requires for business records.
Your rights
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it, or to delete it.
- Withdraw your consent to emails at any time, using the link in any email or by writing to us.
- Object to how we use it.
- Complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner of Zambia.
We reply within 30 days and do not charge for this.
Keeping it safe
The site only works over an encrypted connection. Records are kept in storage that only our team can reach, behind a password, and every request to the team area is checked.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser keeps a small note that you joined or signed, so the page can show your share link when you come back, and a note of where you came from during your visit. Our team's sign in uses one cookie that is only set for them.
Age
This site is for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
When we change this policy we update the version date at the top. If the change matters, we tell you by email first.
